Welcome to the Perception and Politics Lab (PPL) at Abdullah Gul University, Kayseri, Turkey. Our lab is dedicated to advancing the field of political psychology with a focus on inclusive and interdisciplinary research. Using theories and methods from psychology, political science, communication, and related fields, we investigate intergroup relations, public opinion, identity dynamics, conflict resolution and peacebuilding, social representations, and the psychology of citizenship. We aim to uncover the psychological mechanisms that drive political attitudes and behaviours and identify evidence-based policies that promote social harmony, inclusivity, and democracy. We are committed to conducting rigorous, ethical research that addresses critical social issues and contributes to global knowledge.
