Mental Health in the Workplace |
This course is constituted for the recognition of fundamental issues of mental health and how these issues might be apparent and effectively responded to in the workplace context. Accordingly, the course covers basic concepts of mental health and well-being, identifying mental health issues and work-related stress, the elements of a mentally healthy workplace and culture, identifying and managing one’s mental health issues, and discussions related to mental illness stigma and how to socially include people with mental illness. |

Psychology in Social Settings |
This course is designed to offer basic concepts of the science of psychology to the students from various disciplines. It aims to familiarize students with the basic principles, methods, history, and areas of psychology and social psychology. Students will be equipped with the knowledge related to social perception, the self, stress and health, social influence and norms, aggression, discrimination and prejudice, and prosocial behavior. |

Psychology of Human Mind and Memory |
The course contains topics on how we, human beings, understand the world around us and so respond to it via giving more emphasis on human mental processes, such as attention and memory. The course, therefore, covers the following topics respectively: introduction to cognitive psychology and brain, sensation and perception, and human mental processes, where the latest covers attention, information processing (i.e., sensory, short-term, and long-term memories), and retrieval processes (i.e., remembering). |
