The United Nations Academic Impact Report mentioned Abdullah Gül University and Fırat University's transportation, logistical, and shelter support following the 6 February 2023 Kahramanmaras Earthquakes as examples of the role higher education institutions may play in such catastrophes. The report also highlighted the seminar "Psychological Processes in Disasters and Family-Child Communication", organised by our department on February 7, 2023, for those sheltered at the AGU Sumer campus.
