First-year psychology students of our department have made naturalistic observations about COVID regulations on our campus. With respect to our student’s observations, higher than 2,000 units, the percentage of people who wear masks correctly remained below 50 %. In contrast, the percentage of people who keep safe distances from each other is nearly 40 %.

In addition to general compliance percentages of safe behaviour across Sumper Campus, we were luckily able to map how those compliance rates change across the different buildings on the campus, thanks to our student’s observations. Concerning the line graph, we observed that there is no homogeneity across the various facilities of our campus in terms of covid-19 rule compliance. That is to say, the percentage of people who followed the pandemic rules varied remarkably across different locations around campus. To illustrate, while most people followed safe distances and mask-wearing rules in the library, they barely followed the directions in places like Çatı Cafe or volleyball courts.
